چکیده
We investigate spontaneous entanglement of two qubits mediated by nonreciprocal surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) in a Weyl semimetal. In the absence external magnetic fields, topology semimetal even gives rise to SPPs that are topologically protected and reside inside photonic gap. utilize this SPP as mediator spatially separated qubits. Our main findings (1) better quantum than reciprocal one, (2) achieved is sufficiently long lived compared using conventional metals.

Long-range spin-qubit interaction mediated by microcavity polaritons.
We study the optically induced coupling between spins mediated by polaritons in a planar microcavity. In the strong-coupling regime, the vacuum Rabi splitting introduces anisotropies in the spin coupling. Moreover, due to their photonlike mass, polaritons provide an extremely long spin coupling range. This suggests the realization of two-qubit all-optical quantum operations within tens of picos...

The tunneling of surface plasmon-polaritons (SPPs) across an interruption in the metallic film supporting them is numerically investigated in details. Both non-symmetrical and symmetrical geometries are considered. A very high tunneling efficiency is calculated for the long-range surface plasmon in the symmetrical geometry, with an amplitude transmission as high as 80% over a 5 microm gap for a...
متن کاملChiral surface plasmon polaritons on metallic nanowires.
Chiral surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) can be generated by linearly polarized light incident at the end of a nanowire, exciting a coherent superposition of three specific nanowire waveguide modes. Images of chiral SPPs on individual nanowires obtained from quantum dot fluorescence excited by the SPP evanescent field reveal the chirality predicted in our theoretical model. The handedness and s...
متن کاملRadiation guiding with surface plasmon polaritons.
Surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) are electromagnetic (EM) modes propagating along metal-dielectric interfaces, in which surface collective excitations of free electrons in the metal are coupled to evanescent EM fields in the dielectric. Various SPP modes can be supported by flat and curved, single and multiple surfaces, exhibiting remarkable properties, including the possibility of concentrati...
